Today was our last week with Dynamic Dave and we had to make alcohol- free drinks.
We had the choice of Rainbow and Red zest. Red zest had cranberry juice, lemonade and ice. Rainbow had ˝ glass orange juice, ˝ glass pineapple juice and a dash of blackcurrant.
They where both very nice most people had the Red zest because it sounded much better. At the end of the lesson we all got a ruler with a puzzle on it its really hard.

Yesterday some of the 7's went to Bannerman High School for a cycling competion that launched the new off road cycling track.

We cycled down there with Mr Torrance, police sergeant Kenny and his partner Constable Louise. When we got there we hade to cycle round the track to warm up and just into it STV arrived and interviewed some people from the other schools. Once they hade done that the two world champions from the Special Olympics joined in. One of them, called Ronnie came to guide us through the course. It was hard but fun at the time. Afterwards the racing began and you hade to go round the track 2 times and after the races the man who was holding it said we are going to have the first 3 boys and the first 3 girls as winners. Kiera came first and Cameron came third. The weather was wet and cold but we stuck with it. We went into the fuel zone for a bite to eat and then we began the cycle home.

Here are Kiera and Cameron’s views.

Kiera: In the race I thought it was tough though I got through it , and most off all me and Cameron represented the school and that was the most important thing of all and I came 1st.

Cameron: When I was in the race I was scared in case I clipped someone’s tyre but I was happy when I won.

Today Michael the story teller came to our school. He showed us some pictures, that people in Russia had done. Some of them are blind and some of them are partially blind.
Our school sent a suitecase over with Michael, with stuff that he had asked us to make. The stuff that we had to make, made up the contents of his story. The story was about Wee Tom being too fat so he had to excercise. It was a good story and it is to try and encourage children to eat healthy and excercise regularly.

On Wednesday we went out to the park for Maths. We put on coloured bibs in groups to help us find each other.
We tried to stand in positions we had drawn on a map to make big shapes.
We recorded the locations with an iPhone using GPS and SnailTrail.
We also tried a star but it did not quite turn out the way we wanted it to.
You can download our kml file and see our shapes in Google Earth.

On Friday p.5 had there harvest assembly. They had made a poster with harvest in big bright letters. They collected a lot of food to donate to less fortunate than us. They told us a story about the Scottish farmer and the African farmer they told us how the African farmers find it harder than the Scottish farmers to grow crops. So we learnt a lot from the harvest assembly.

This term p7j topic has been ww2.
We have been work on making families, houses and lots more our families are living in Clydebank.
The families are as shipyard workers, bakers and owning companies.
They are living in flats with no toilet because it is round the back and there is only one room one kitchen and one bed
In the year of 1939 the families were very big, so when there was a war they all had to split up from each other.
Then there was the bombing by Germany and the leader was Hitler.

Thanks
Kami and Andrew
